Sydney & Celia [sisters] wanted some fun, funky photos to give to their father for his birthday. After worrying about the weather for a week, it finally rained on the day of their shoot.
Instead of putting the shoot off, we decided to try a few "rainy day photos" before returning to the studio.
It was so much fun! We ended up in hip, urban NoBo [North Boulder] with colorful backgrounds and gorgeous lighting.
Rain, schmain. We had a blast.
Maggie Stadtfeld called me this week to do portraits of her for her business cards.
During her portrait session, I learned that she is a State Farm agent in Boulder and is really, really friendly.
I explained to her that I had a sour experience with a Life Insurance agent and have been skeptical about purchasing insurance ever since.
She explained to me all of the options that there are for someone who is my age, and in my situation. She didn't try to pressure me into anything... she simply said, "Come in if you would like, I'd love to talk to you."
Now that the holidays are over, I can post some of the holiday photos I've been working on without spoiling any surprises!
This is Katie. She had a very specific idea of how she wanted her holiday portraits; Katie, two santa hats and her kitty-cat, Razor looking "as cheesy as possible."
HA HA! What a fun time, and I think we nailed her vision of a hilarious Holiday card.
Now, if you spend an hour photographing a cat in a santa hat, you're bound to get a few... out takes.
Katie liked the out takes almost as much as the serious ones and ended up ordering a ton.

It's near impossible to get myself and these three ladies at the same place at the same time... so, when we all got together last night, I had to grab some photos of them! We went down to the lake right at sunset and the colors were amazing, especially on the water.
Jessie and I have been friends.. pretty much ever since I can remember. We spent most of our childhood years running and playing in our neighborhood park. What better place to do portraits of her?! The tress make such pretty patterns in the photos.
Charles is one of my best friends, too! I have known him since we were kids and I'm so glad I got a few shots of him in this shoot. Cedar came along and got to be in some photos.
