Dawn + Stephen - Spring Wedding in the Foothills
They always say that rain is good luck on your wedding day. I always thought that was cliche, until Dawn and Stephen's wedding Last April. The light was moody and the clouds hung low around the flatirons at Chautauqua Park and I thought to myself, "What a lucky day to have a wedding!!"
It was a beautiful morning wedding with the bride's and groom's closest friends and family. Good people, good music, and a tasty vegan lunch!!

Princess Tanqueray
This is my adorable puppy, Tanqueray. Actually, she's not really a puppy anymore considering she's 4 now... but she will always be a puppy to me! Ever since she was teeny tiny I've been dressing her up in different outfits, hats, shoes, nail polish (her favorite!) etc...
I think I've created a monster because clearly she thinks she's a princess!!!

Sometimes Checking the mail is Fun!
I just love it when I check the mail and, among the stack of bills, there is a sweet thank-you card form a client. It reminds me why I love my job; my clients.

Love is Blossoming... And So Are The Trees!
This was one of the best engagement shoots ever! This is such a fun time of year for outdoor photography... everything is springing to life! The light is perfect, the trees are blossoming... It's also helpful when the couple gets into the picture-taking and you can tell they are so in love.
Kay Dee & Ty Ray met while attending school in Greeley, CO. They are going to get married this June and we are delighted to be doing their wedding.
A Little Rain Never Hurt Anybody!
Sydney & Celia [sisters] wanted some fun, funky photos to give to their father for his birthday. After worrying about the weather for a week, it finally rained on the day of their shoot.
Instead of putting the shoot off, we decided to try a few "rainy day photos" before returning to the studio.
It was so much fun! We ended up in hip, urban NoBo [North Boulder] with colorful backgrounds and gorgeous lighting.
Rain, schmain. We had a blast.
Home Office... New and Improved!
Our home office is coming along quite nicely!
We had to sell our lovely oak desk to accommodate for more work room...
But now we have this beautiful white desk and blue walls to match our logo.
We're stylin'!

Maggie Stadtfeld called me this week to do portraits of her for her business cards.
During her portrait session, I learned that she is a State Farm agent in Boulder and is really, really friendly.
I explained to her that I had a sour experience with a Life Insurance agent and have been skeptical about purchasing insurance ever since.
She explained to me all of the options that there are for someone who is my age, and in my situation. She didn't try to pressure me into anything... she simply said, "Come in if you would like, I'd love to talk to you."
